A message from Jarrett Malnarick, CEO of Experion Holdings Ltd. (Experion)

During these difficult times due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Experion’s thoughts are toward the health and safety of its staff, contractors, valued customers, our families, and the community both locally and worldwide. We believe that everyone must do their part to ensure the health and safety of all.

As a company we are closely monitoring and following the COVID-19 guidance of our federal and local government authorities, as well as global health organizations in order to act responsibly; prioritizing the health of our employees and contractors and the safety of our customers and the communities in which we operate.

In early March, Experion followed the advice of government authorities and halted non-essential company travel, which means we will not participate in conferences or large gatherings until further notice.

In addition to travel restrictions, we are following guidance provided by government authorities in order to maintain a healthy and safe workplace. The COVID-19 pandemic protocols we have implemented at our site are designed to safeguard our employees, product and our customers. While operating under these protocols, Experion still can effectively cultivate, process and ship our premium cannabis products, and will continue to do so during these difficult times. Our Health Canada certified facility already includes extensive cleaning and sanitation requirements, but as mentioned, we have implemented extra protocols specific to the COVID-19 pandemic such as:

  • Increased sanitation and cleaning frequency throughout the facility
  • Separate entrances for employees and contract workers
  • Screening employees and contract workers as they arrive on site
  • Physical distance and social distancing within the work place
  • Increased personal protective equipment including full gowning, gloves and masks for all workers who come into contact with cannabis products
  • Facilitating working remotely when possible
  • Meeting via phone and video conference rather than in person

We continue to monitor and prepare to respond and act as the situation around COVID-19 evolves. If our operational levels change, we will continue to communicate our plans.

In the meantime, we should all take the same preventative measures, including the following:

  • Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or flexed elbow when coughing or sneezing
  • Avoid contact with those who are unwell
  • Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face
  • Stay home from work and avoid community contact except to seek medical care when you are sick
  • Seek medical attention early if you have a fever, cough and difficulty breathing
